TX Transmission

Rules

This discipline involves transmitting 5-character groups consisting of letters, figures, and mixed sets at the highest possible speed. While mistakes can be corrected by sending a sequence of five or more dots, the final score remains valid only if there are no more than three uncorrected errors.

Competition Procedures

In official HST competitions, operators are allocated a strict 15-minute time slot from the moment they enter the station. This window covers the entire setup and performance for all three categories, requiring the competitor to manage their time effectively under pressure to ensure a valid run.

Performance Improvement

During the session, competitors have the opportunity to repeat only one of the three categories: letters, figures, or mixed sets at their discretion. This allows for a single chance to improve a score, making the discipline a rigorous test of both peak telegraphic speed and strategic mental accuracy.

Morse Runner

Contest simulation using the Morse Runner software to evaluate operator skill in a virtual radio environment. This category tests the ability to manage intense pile-ups and extreme calling conditions within a fixed 10-minute session. The final score depends on the total stations logged and the absolute accuracy of copied callsigns and serial numbers.

RufzXP

Advanced reception training and testing via the RufzXP platform. This software challenges the operator to accurately copy 50 randomly generated callsigns at progressively increasing speeds. Each correct entry accelerates the pace, while errors cause the speed to drop, measuring the absolute limit of the operator’s telegraphic copy ability.
