The HA-DX Contest, organized by the Hungarian Radioamateur Society (Magyar Rádióamatőr Szövetség), is a well-established and highly regarded annual HF contest that attracts amateur radio operators from all over the world. The event is held every year on the third full weekend of January and runs for 24 hours, starting on Saturday and ending on Sunday. The contest promotes on-air activity, international friendship and competitive operating skills. Participants operate on the HF bands using CW (Morse code) and SSB (phone), competing in various categories including single-operator and multi-operator entries. The main objective is to achieve the highest possible number of valid QSOs while complying with the contest rules.
