DXpedition by MDXC: the 9L8MD Team was active from Sierra Leone from 29 October to 10 November 2025, providing a high-profile DXpedition that kept the bands busy day and night. Operations were carried out with multiple stations and antennas to maximize worldwide coverage and give as many operators as possible the chance to log Sierra Leone. The team also operated as 9L9L from Banana Island, IOTA AF-037, adding further interest for island chasers. The multinational team was composed of AG4W, DL6KVA, DL6LZM, DL8JJ, F6IRA, GI4DOH, HB9DHG, HB9TOC, I8KHC, IU3PMA, IU4HRJ, IZ2GNQ, IZ4UEZ, OK2WX and YO8PS.
