The CQ World Wide WPX Contest is one of the most popular and inclusive events in the amateur radio calendar. It is based on the prestigious WPX Award offered by CQ Amateur Radio magazine, which recognizes the achievement of “Working All Prefixes.” Unlike many other competitions that focus on countries or geographical zones, the WPX Contest turns every unique prefix—such as K1, IZ2, or AH6—into a valuable multiplier, making every participant a potential target for others.
