The 9A DX Contest is an annual HRS event held every third full weekend of December. This mixed-mode HF competition is open to worldwide operators and youth categories. SSB self-spotting is allowed, featuring unlimited band changes and night-time bonuses. Scoring rewards activity across bands with multipliers for distant stations. Winners earn prestigious awards and Istra Conference stays. Electronic logs must be submitted in Cabrillo format for fair-play verification.
