The 9A DX Contest (also known as the Croatian DX Contest) is an annual amateur radio competition organized by the Croatian Amateur Radio Association (HRS) that takes place on the third full weekend in December, in 2025 on 20–21 December. It is a dynamic mixed‑mode HF contest where operators worldwide can compete in a variety of categories, including single‑operator and multi‑operator entries, with a new Single Operator Two Bands category and overlays for youth stations. Self‑spotting on SSB is permitted, operators may change bands and modes without limits, and additional points are awarded for QSOs made during night hours. The contest’s scoring system encourages activity across HF bands, with various multipliers and incentives for contacts on different bands and with distant stations. The event promotes international participation, supports young operators, and offers prizes such as free accommodation at the Istra Contest Conference for the all‑bands mixed winners and other awards for category and youth overlay winners. Logs in Cabrillo format must be submitted electronically, and strict rules and fair‑play checks apply.
